Hi! I'm Rachel

Photography is more than "just a photo". It is timeless. It is emotion.

In the fall of 2022, I suddenly lost my beloved mare, Tango. As a photographer, being in front of the lens rather than behind always felt a bit like stepping out of my comfort zone. The year before she passed, a fellow barnmate convinced me to do a photoshoot with her. I wish I had the words to do justice for what those photos mean to me now, but some emotions are just too strong for a simple word.

That emotion is what I hope to capture in every photo I take.

I started my journey as a little girl who loved animals. With my little iPhone 5, I was running through the horse pastures at the barn or chasing my dogs around the backyard, trying all the angles and pulling creativity from the simplest of moments. At 13 I got my very first camera and from then, I knew that was everything I wanted in life.
